HTC HD2 can run Android Jelly Bean now

HTC HD2 sure is one amazing phone. And it can run Android Jelly Bean, thanks to a port by some enterprising chaps. The folks over at XDA-Developers managed to port over Android 4.1 Jelly Bean onto the phone and it seems to be working fine albeit with some problems. Video playback or the camera isn’t working, and neither is USB mass storage. There are problems with the web browser, some apps not working and Google Now crashing but hey – it’s a start.

Android Jelly Bean has also been ported to run on the Amazon Kindle Fire, effectively turning it into a Nexus 7. The Nexus 7 officially goes on sale on Thursday, or if you’ve got a Samsung Galaxy Nexus you should be able to update to Jelly Bean right now.
